2025 in Review: Highlights from AFA Events
AFA’s annual Alumni Golf event was organized at Linna Golf.
AFA Padel Tournament

On 22nd of March, AFA organized its annual Padel Event at Social Sports Club. In the sporty afternoon, teams played against each other in Team Americano format. After the padel, the event continued with a cozy afterparty with food and drinks at Löyly. Thank you to everyone for the active participation!
Graduate Dinner

In May, AFA organized an event for 5th year Finance students, called the Graduate Dinner. The purpose of the event was to “close the circle”, and bring everyone together one last time in a fun and relaxed setting. Accompanying the dinner, we had a few short speeches from the finance faculty and AFA. Thanks again to Vesa Puttonen and Peter Nyberg for joining us!
The atmosphere was laid back, and participants were eagerly waiting for the challenges ahead. AFA looks forward to seeing all soon-to-be graduates in our events, and wishes good luck to everyone in finishing their studies, finding exciting opportunities professionally, and life after university!
AFA Golf ‘25

At the beginning of September, AFA continued the annual AFA Golf tradition at Linna Golf. The attendees took on each other in a team flight competition. Of course, the longest drive and closest-to-pin challenges were a part of the event. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the great atmosphere!
AFA Piemonte Wine Tasting

On 17 September, AFA hosted a Piemonte-themed wine tasting featuring Barolo, Barbaresco, Langhe Nebbiolo, and local white varieties. The evening culminated in a standout Barolo from Chiara Boschis (Mosconi Cru), one of Italy’s most renowned female winemakers.
The atmosphere was warm and enthusiastic, and we’re truly grateful for all the positive feedback. Thank you to everyone who joined!
Crayfish Party

To brighten a dark October evening, AFA brought alumni together for our traditional crayfish party on 24 October. At Merimakasiini we enjoyed excellent last-of-the-season crayfish, lively conversations, and the debut AFA version of Cha Cha Cha. Nordic tradition, warm community, and shared laughter made it an evening that left everyone smiling. Thank you to all the participants!
Pre-Christmas Party

In late October, AFA joined forces with Aalto Finance to celebrate the Pre-Christmas party at Grotesk. The evening offered a chance to unwind, celebrate the year, and kick off the season in a festive atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who joined!
